After a very hot last few weeks, the rain has finally arrived. Although the weather was fabulous, the garden did suffer. Many plants flowered and went over a lot faster than usual. Now is a good time to inject the garden with some late summer colour.
Here are a few plants to consider:
- Grasses are looking fab.
- Rudbeckia is coming into flower.
- Agapanthus still have lots of life in them yet.
- Hebes adding great colour
- Artemesia brighten dark borders
- Leucothes are great for adding colour to pots or any container
- Violas and pansies are great for pots, basket and window boxes.
- Heuchera ‘Marmelade’
- Asters are affectionately known as September for obvious reasions
- Gaillardias are great for wildlife
- Fucshias are still doing their thing
- Heuchera ‘Forever Purple’ ‘
- Hebes look great in pots too.
- Violas will flower through to winter
- Hydrangeas add a bold colour to any border or patio pot.
- Fucshias in bright pots can not be missed
- The flowers on grasses add lovely height to borders and move beautifully in the wind
- Heucherella ‘Tapestry’
